Lexi-Dash — 60-Second Word Battle

An adrenaline-fueled, real-time multiplayer word duel born from a cherished family dinner-table tradition.

The Origin Story

Every evening at the dinner table, my son and I had a favorite ritual: we would challenge each other to unjumble scrambled words written on napkins against the ticking of a kitchen timer.

The laughter, the competitive rush, and the mental speed inspired me to build a digital arena where players anywhere in the world could share that same fast-paced excitement in real time.

The Core Gameplay

Players race against a strict 60-second countdown. You are presented with rapid-fire jumbled anagrams of increasing complexity.

Every correct unscramble earns combo points, extends streaks, and applies real-time pressure to your opponent in live 1v1 multiplayer battles.

Game Modes

60s Time Trial

Solo mode where players test their vocabulary speed, build high-score multiplier streaks, and climb the global leaderboards.

Live 1v1 Battle

Real-time room matchmaking. Share a 6-digit room code with a friend or battle an AI bot with live head-to-head score synchronization.

Global Leaderboard

Track daily and all-time vocabulary champions worldwide with instant stat tracking, word accuracy, and fastest solve times.

Engineering Architecture

Low-Latency Room Synchronization

Engineered with real-time bidirectional WebSocket transport. Room states, timer syncs, and opponent score ticks broadcast with sub-50ms roundtrip latency.

Dynamic Anagram Engine

Algorithmic dictionary scrambling engine ensuring valid single-solution and multi-solution anagrams with progressive difficulty scaling as the clock ticks down.

Server-Authoritative Anti-Cheat

Server-side timer validation and input verification prevents client-side tampering, ensuring all leaderboard rankings and match outcomes are strictly verified.

Universal Responsive UI

Built with mobile-first gesture support and keyboard bindings for instantaneous desktop speed-typing. Smooth animations and tactile feedback on every unjumbled word.
